Wes founded Absolute Performance Verification LLC in 2006, with the dream of providing GIPS services to investment managers of all sizes. He knew investment managers needed a verifier who would offer exceptional service at a sensible price. Today, the firm services a healthy list of loyal clients, many of whom have been with Absolute from day one.

Currently, Wes serves on CFA Institute’s Investment Performance Committee, after a two-year term on the GIPS Verification Subcommittee.  Prior to starting Absolute, Wes was head of GIPS at Moss Adams LLP. At Franklin Templeton Investments throughout the 1990s, he managed the investment performance measurement and GIPS compliance process for the firm’s internationally invested institutional portfolios. Responsibilities included the selection of a GIPS verifier and internal management of the third-party verification process.

He has presented to CFA Institute member societies as well as at national investment-performance conferences. He has also been interviewed and featured in national financial publications. Wes is a CFA Institute member, active in his local CFA Society, and he holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst designation. 

Wes earned his MBA at Nova Southeastern University, and his BSBA in finance and banking at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he recently had the honor of being invited as guest speaker at the Trulaske College of Business. 

He enjoys rooting for Mizzou and Miami and supporting his kids’ athletic and artistic endeavors. He volunteers at church and loves to take the whole family on golf outings.
